Boarding atTorres Strait Kaziw Meta—A Home Where Dreams Begin

At Torres Strait Kaziw Meta, we believe that boarding is more than just living away from home, it’s stepping into a vibrant community where boarders are supported to dream big, work hard, and stay proud of who they are.

When boarders arrive each term, they are welcomed like family. Kaziw Meta becomes their second home, a place filled with laughter, cultural pride, friendships, and opportunities to grow.

Our boarding houses are designed to feel like family homes. Boarders live in small family-style groups, sharing meals, celebrating milestones, and building strong bonds with their House Parents and fellow boarders. We foster a culture where strangers become lifelong friends, and where every boarder is respected, supported, and inspired to be their best.

Our Vision for Every Boarder:
At Kaziw Meta, we prepare our boarders not only for success at school but for life beyond it. We teach leadership, responsibility, and resilience, ensuring that every boarder can walk proudly into their future, whether that’s further education, work, or leadership back in their island communities.

You are not just boarding at Kaziw Meta, you are becoming part of a movement, a proud tradition of Torres Strait Islanders who lead with strength, heart, and culture.
