Culture is at the heart of Kaziw Meta and is lived every day through language, song, dance, and shared identity across the Torres Strait. 

Kaziw Meta has a strong and active dance team that practices regularly and performs at a wide range of events, including the International Conference in Tasmania, Thursday Island Cultural Festival, cruise ship welcomes and cultural performances, key Tagai College events, the Qantas aircraft opening, Saibai shaving ceremony, and more. 

All boarders are welcome to join the team and take part in dance practice. Boarders learn, dance, and sing cultural items from across the Torres Strait, supporting pride, confidence, and connection to community, Elders, and tradition.
